Social distance birthday party
My daughter turned 12 today.
While we have had lots of time to prepare for her birthday 'party', most of the planning has been prefixed with 'if it's allowed' or 'hopefully by then we can...'
So we settled on an outdoor meet up by the river, with pizza, a huge tarp to sit on and fortunately, a small group of fantastic, understanding girls, who were so happy to spend a couple of hours together, they didn't mind where or what it was.
I think we have a new generation of understanding youngsters, who are grateful for the company of their friends, who they have missed so much.
I am so proud of my daughter and her friends, I hope this is an indication of the future.
